Being a Charleston Maker isn’t just about creating beautiful work—it’s about building community through creativity. I teach pottery on the Sea Islands, where I’ve helped locals and visitors alike reconnect with their creative side through hands-on classes. My art—ranging from handbuilt ceramics to coastal-inspired paintings and inclusive children’s books—is deeply rooted in the textures, colors, and culture of the Lowcountry. I’ve had the honor of showcasing my work across the region, including the South Carolina State Art Show, Coastal Carolina exhibition, and most recently, the 2025 Spoleto Festival juried show. I was also a presenting author at the 2024 Lowcountry Parent Author Event, where I shared my children’s books that celebrate adventure and belonging. As the founder of The Faithful Oak, I’m not only committed to making art—I’m passionate about helping others create, connect, and celebrate the spirit of Charleston.
