I relocated to Charleston after years in NYC as a professional designer and creative director working in the entertainment industry crafting art, design and creative for brands such as Spotify, MTV, Paramount, Broadway shows and beyond. After falling madly in love with my new city I wanted to bring that same level of creativity, enthusiasm and originality to a Charleston product line that didn’t focus solely on tourism but was created with locals in mind. Something fresh, modern, and a bit whimsical. A line that represents a larger community and captures the unique spirit of our city.

From that idea Deluxe Special was born. A hyper-local collection of apparel and goods featuring original artwork and design that focuses on the unique neighborhoods + islands, the laid back vibes, the charming decay and the pockets of weirdness that make up the magical aura that is so uniquely Charleston.

We pull a lot of inspiration from local architecture, coastal living, our amazing food scene… it could be anything from a fried shrimp platter on a sunny day to a shoebox-sized Folly Beach cottage. Showcasing the sometimes overlooked beauty in those everyday things. You can see those influences throughout our work but at the same time finding a new space where those things play together. To me that is very much the essence of Charleston.
