I started my family in Charleston and have spent my entire married life in Charleston. Both my sons were born in Charleston. My most recent book, Folkston, was written entirely on James Island and follows a young Charleston attorney who is sent to the South Carolina mountains for his first trial. Folkston draws on my own experiences as a Charleston litigator and was launched at Bohemian Bull in partnership with Charleston Friends of the Library. I have also done multiple talks at the Charleston County Libraries and partnered with other Charleston staples including 2nd Sundays on King, Itinerant Literate, Creative Mornings, the Mt. Pleasant REI, and both local Barnes and Nobles.
